Hi all,
My youngster has started to display some really odd behaviour in his field!
He lives out in his own paddock, but there are other horses over the fence that he scratches with etc. He has for about a year.
I backed him early in the year and he is currently on a break as he has had a bit of a growth spurt and I've been resting him and just doing ground work until he levels out again! He is a very loving horse and never behaves aggressively towards me but when I go into the field he seems to go a bit potty! Tonight for example he ran into the muck heap, started charging round in it and then ran out and booted my wheelbarrow over!! Lol! He doesn't intimidate me in the slightest, I just wonder whether he could be bored with not being ridden? As I say I'm still doing groundwork with him but I wonder if anyone else's horse has behaved like this! He is normally very quiet..
He lives out 24/7 and just has one feed a day of hifi (purely something to put his benevit supplement in) and some hay.
Maybe he's just losing the plot (like his mother!)
