My mare has now lost all of her excess weight. Had her checked by the vet and as she still had a slight response to the flexion test she said to get her back into work and see if it clears up.
So we start that, then she gets an abcess in her left fore!
So we clear this up, (when it eventually comes out of the top rather than the bottom!).
Since Monday, she's had this odd lameness/stiffness in the opposite rear. I can't tell if it's foot related or further up, there's a little warmness in her foot nothing overly though, isn't uneven at the back, but her foot turns out to the side a little. I've had a prod and a poke, but she's not sensitive anywhere down her leg or in her hip, YO has had a look and has said that it maybe something to do with the weight loss, but that, it should ease with time! Either that or she's bruised her foot!
It's a little sporadic too, she's not doing it all time, and sometimes it looks like the lower half of her leg has seized up then suddenly unlocks itself and she stumbles a little!
Just wondering if anyone on here has had any experiences with anything similar? Cookies for getting this far!
