odd large lump?

Zak has had a large lump, about 10cm long and 4cm high on his hind quarter. It doesnt stick out ie its quite flat, and not hard at all. If you press it it just seems like fluid, and doesnt affect him. I thought nothing of it at first, just a kick or something, but its been there for about 4 days now. Any ideas?

Sounds like a fly bite or sting to me... Merlin gets stung by something each june and it comes up in what looks like a hand slap, its red hot and he is very reluctant to have it touched, however a few days later the skin starts to shed off... he wont let me pick it but is happy for a plastic curry comb to be roughly brushed over to lift off the dead skin... yuk!!!
