Hello, could anyone help me diagnose this pony?
The pony is not mine, it is a friend's and despite veterinary help, the pony has gone undiagnosed ( I have nothing to do with the veterinary involvement, I am just going by what I am told- as i understand it, the vet is not a specialist equine vet)
The pony is an old (20's) dartmoor type mare standing at about 12hh. She has a huge huge crest that goes up and down- It is very firm, the pony also has a large swelling around the throat area and swellings on the rump. The pony now has developed areas of cracked skin on the face that looks similar to what you would see on a sarcoid - but it is not raised at all. Will get pictures if I can but as I say- not my pony and would need to ask first.
