Odd question- XRAYS....

I have my girls XRAYS with me today at work and would like to make a copy of them for my own records (and so the farrier dosnt damage them)

I have put them through the photocopier and keep getting black pages !!

I have tried to lighten the scan, but its still not working...

Just wondered it any of you had any ideas as to how else I could make a copy??!!

The only way is to get it done professionally. Sorry. I work in a hospital and they only way we got copies was through medical illustration in the hospital who are experts at this.

If the x-rays are digital, they can be copied onto a CD.
 
hb6 Thank you soooo much for your words of wisdom!! You wouldnt want to know how many buttons ive been trying to adjust on the photocopier and scanner!!!

even adjusting the brightness in photoshop wasnt working!!

Thanks again for letting me know... i will now give up and just make sure the originals are guarded with my life!! xx
 
Your'e welcome, sorry I could not give you the news you wanted.

If the films are not bent and are kept flat they should be fine.
 
What I did was, using a laptop and set the background screen to white, put the xray on it . The laptop acts like a light box and I used a digital camera to take a picture of the xrays. !
