"I lent my pony to someone to do a ODE on, and they did really well together. I've had him 4yrs and although we've done really well together too, we've had some blips recently.

So, do horses really get used to they way we ride them (good or bad)? And therefore did my pony prefer the way this other person rode, or was it just luck?

I rode my other horse and it didn't go so well"......

Its a hard question to answer without seeing your pony, with boh of you riding him.

Maybe have a chat with the person who rode him and see where the differences (if any) are. Maybe your pony had a good day!
