my gelding certainly doesnt need it... HEHEHE....
I'm told it works on the 'pertuatory gland' to help with the hormonally mood swings.... was wondering if anyone had used it on stroppy colts instead of stroppy mares??

That would be the pituitary gland... although I have studied biology both horsey and human for four years on the trot now I can't for the life of me remember what the thing produces (too late, tired brain!) but I just thought that I'd say that I'm sure there is a specific supplement for moody boys... Stroppy Gelding? As opposed to Stroppy Mare? D&H isn't it? Or I may just be making that up... something to Google anyway!
Sorry if that doesn't help much though... brain asleep, hands still typing!

I imagine it might... I think they just named it Stroppy *Gelding* to shorten the title... Stroppy Gelding/Colt/Stallion doesn't have the same ring to it...

I used Rig Calm by Global Herbs last year on my used-to-be-a-rig-and-still-think-I-have-my-balls Highland and just gelded TB and it worked a treat! They lost all interest and left the mares alone, they also stopped beating each other up, which was nice....

hmmm.... wonder if it would work on an 'over enthusiastic' boyfriend...

my horse is a rig and i asked my vet about this and was advised strongly against it...as soon as he said that the thought went out my head (or it might of been moodymare but with the oestragen in it!) he's now injected twice yearly to stop him acting so horny! lol
still needs to be kept on his own and is kept well away from the mares

hi guys, thanks for all your comments up to now, I've looked into the global herbs ones but have been advised that NAF are better...again its ment to be a herbal remedy/suppliment veternary (sp) approved. just wondered if anyone had used this for colts and to what effect??

Maybe what I actually need is that elusive 7ft rugby player to run the colt in the shows...
