Finally going away on Friday for a week in Cornwall (Bude). Never been to cornwall before, anyone got any ideas on places to visit?

So far on the list is Eden, Perranporth beach and Newquay. Anyone got any little gems they can tell me about???

clovelly is worth a trip - lovely coastal village owner by the National Trust - where they filmed the hovis ad with the boy on the Bike. All cobbled streets and no cars allowed.

Port Isaac is gorgeous. Oh and stop off on Bodmin moor on the way down - Jamaica Inn is worth a quick visit for a drink on the way and just off the A30. ( Daphne du MaurieR)

Goonhilly is amazing! And of course you have to go to Land's End, it's not a big place but it has an interesting story to tell.

Your too far north but go into proper Cornwall and go to a meadery!!

The Menaque theatre is well worth the drive too...especially if they have some Shakespeare on!

St Ives and Helston are lovely places to visit too.

I was born in Cornwall but as you can tell...I was further south, and whenever we go back we go that way to visit friends etc.

Minnack Theatre is a must when the weather is right.

For shopping, Truro is very civilised, Falmouth is great, Fowey and Polperro gorgeous and quaint, maybe too far for you. If the weather is murky, go to Tintagel, it's best in the fog as it becomes very atmospheric.

Walking on Bodmin moor is lovely, you tend to see a lot of horses there, bred wild, normally an amazing range of colours (I have one, I know!).

For riding, I have heard good thngs about T M International and St Veep!

Have a great time, hope the weather is kind!
