Haughmond Hill?
There is also quite a lot on the Shropshire council website http://www.shropshire.gov.uk/countryside.nsf/open/02AD8F90565C7AA28025737E0059D728
Scroll down and there are PDF guides, with maps, on 10 excellent circular rides.

Also wanted to add Carding Mill Valley, would phone up and check in advance for parking at the NT, as we would do, but as long as horse is okay with water you can ride right up through the valley onto the Long Mynd. Personally would pick a quiet day for that one as it can get pretty busy in good weather but you can go for miles up there.

You can still park at startle woods, just ring Debbie and let her know out of courtesy, alternatively you can Park in the car park at Hopton. Which is between Nesscliffe and the Cliffe

Gallops can be booked through

01743 741 536 mark brisbourne racing

There are also bridle paths right across some of Debbie's fields if you want a good gallop, you could do a good 10 mile circular route across fields, edging round Ryton xi towns and back up to the Cliffe

Sorry only just re-read this thread!

Where I park: take the road into Nesscliffe village (so turn off the main A5) and then turn opposite the Old 3 Pigeons pub. Keep going along there, there is a small amount of parking on the right hand side but not all that much room for a trailer, past there you come to a triangle junction. Turn right here, and you go up a steep bank, just on the brow of the hill there is a turning into the woods on your left (not quite the easiest to see till you've almost passed it), go a short distance along a track and there is bags of room to park, plus maps of the hill and where the bridleways are.
