Finally my horse box conversion is almost ready - the only thing i have to decide on now is the colour scheme. I am off work tomorrow and me and OH are going up north to look at the box before we decide.

I want purple or lilac with silver scrolls- or would settle for silver with purple or lilac scrolls and stuff... OH says silver with black scrolls as the windows are smoked glass and he thinks that should we come to sell it the purple could put off some of the "men"

any suggestions?

I spent four hours in a paint shop with a friend who wanted those colours. When we left she had decided on a random totally unrelated colour that was on a lorry that just turned up doing a delivery to the next door shop.

She ended up with something different again on the lorry.

One thing I did find out, check with the person spraying it whether they have a preference as to what sort, right down to brand, of paint they want to use. The person spraying my friend's lorry was really arsey about the type of paint.

Oh and check that you are happy to pay the cost of metallic over flat paint!

wow, exciting, sorry, cant give you any advice, purple sounds nice though

Ooooh, let us know what you pick. I got my wagon nearly 2 yrs ago now. Had a flat colour mainly down to cost, metalic was an extra £1500!!! but I still havent had any decals put on it as I cant decide and keep changing my mind

. One advantage of non metalic light colours is they dont show up the scratches from overhanging trees/bushes. I was going to have black decals on my grey/silver box but I think I need something to lift it, so I think Im having a bluish colour, see I cant even make my mind up about that

louby on my last box which was grey/silver I had royal blue and black decals if that is any help!

Having read your comment about the scratches I may live to regret having asked for mine to be sprayed Chilli Red.lol

Lol, good luck on choosing

Ditto the light colours due to tree scratches! You'd be amazed how many you can pick up

My lorry was light-ish cream, so they didn't show up too badly (at least something was good lol, other than the heater and the radio!).

I think you should have the colours you really want - you've waited a long time for this lorry

purple is the color of death! think of the re sale value in a few years and go for something dateless! and user friendly!

[/ QUOTE ] ... I would be fine with purple not that it would be my first choice however at least its not grey, silver, black or other dull boring colour, why are these horrid dreary shades so popular... ???
