Taking some of our new ones into town for the first time to see what they do!! They all drive, but probably down country lanes, so we take them around the quiet area of the city, see what they do - should be fun we have 30 mph winds today!!

Nothing like learning to swim in ocean during a storm that way when it is nice - it is all rather easy!!

I just hope I do not clip a parked car!!! HA HA HA HA!!!!
 
HOW FUN!!!! I'd love to get E trained to pull a sulky (she has a lovely long trot) and me trained effectively to drive. I would totally park the car on the weekends if successful. Nobody does it here though -- except heavy teams and (extreme cowboy training techniques at that. my gal would so freak.)
 
WOW that was so much fun. The horses came up yesterday from PA, and spent the night in the trailer. We got them out walked them around a bit, see what we thought of them. Then we saw how they acted, we started hitting signs, kicking soda cans, banging on fences, found some tarps flapping, took them between 2 parked big rigs, I found an old tool cart - man was it noisey - I was pushing that around while leading my horse (which I named Guapo).

I then got him all tacked up and in the harness and started driving him around, carried on hitting the sign with the handle of my whip, we had a coach approach us, and we got him to hoot his horn, we found big rigs that we stood infront of as they hooted their big fog horn, let off their airbreak. I tied a plastic bag to his reins - you name it we did it. Had the police cars with lights and sirens on pass us, etc.

The only thing I found he did not like was walking on ice - everything else he was ace at. I would have guessed he was deaf as we could not found a noise, that he even paid attention too - but he worked perfectly of my voice!!

Super duper horse - he will be working in no time.
