Officially naffed off

shes totally fine now, and shes actually more full of it at the moment than she has been in a very long time! There where some jumps up in the school last night when i was schooling her and i decided to pop her over them (she never gets excited about jumping and is in fact quite lazy) anyways, i pointed her at one and she stuck her head up and p!ssed off into it and then proceeded to buck and squeal down the school afterwards

its nice shes happy again tho, as she was really depressed when she had them

the thing is with the dengie feeds, im having a lot of problems with her weight and the build up cubes have really helped her out. If it means her being on the lean side for a healthier happy horse then so be it.
The vet didnt recommend anything to try on her. She is very sensitive and has lots of problems with the flies in the summer. The last thing I wanted to do its buy something that made them worse - especially after tryign the aloe vera gel

Isnt that funny, my horses have been on build up cubes this winter too.
I took them off them this week and the spots have improved.....

I have them on ultimate balancer which is great for keeping weight on. I was only giving them a handful of build up cubes because my old horse was having them and i thought i would add bulk to the others.

had thought about leaving her out in the field rather tahn keeping her in the stable but im wodnering if its something in her field.
have thought about trying easy bed or something like that. Will have to go to the feed emrchant and have a look

thats great news. Im really glad that shes feeling better and even more full of life than she was. Sounds liek shes a handful.
Feel so sorry for Chantin, she looks quite miserable at times

I will echo what someone said about the rugs though... both Hannah and Grace got a horrendous rash at the end of summer when I used some newly washed rugs on them. I had sent them away, and it was obviously something in the powder they used. I have washed them in Fairy and Grace seems fine (Han not had one on).

Try washing as hot as you can without any detergents whatsoever, may take several washes to use an 'old' rug in case it shrinks. Had similar issue and it resolved by only washing in hot water ie never letting the under sotton sheet get too dirty.
