So, after asking people on here and having a ride in my mates isabell werth dressage saddle i LOVED it, so comfortable and defietley everything i want in a dressage saddle, phoned my saddler and he said 'No way'

Apparently my warmblood that is completley flat backed, like a tank and has no withers, is the kind of horse the Isabell werth isnt made for

Im gutted, i love that saddle.....
Soooo back on the bloody hunt again

Maybe i should sell the my boy and buy one that the saddle will fit

Definintly sell the horse

I had a wow saddle that didn't fit the horse and did breifly consider getting rid of her and buying one that did

At least your saddler said something - I know far too many sadders who will fit a wintec to anything

Your saddler is quite correct. I had one on my warmblood, it was comfy to sit in but it perched on her back. I think wintecs are only really suited to high withered tb's or from what I gather anyway. Try get a second hand ideal of you can, I have gone through a few dressage saddles and nothing has sat as well on her back.

i have a 5yr old warmblood mare that i have an isabel fitted to. it fits her really well and i absolutely love it. you have to make sure that you buy a flocked one, as these can obviously have the flocking moved around the front of the saddle to fit each horse. if you get a cair one then you have no chance of it fitting very many horses at all as the shape of the back is very limited. my saddler (andrew reilly) has always made a very good job of fitting these saddles to horses. i have never ridden in such a comfortable saddle, and my horse moves so much better now that her shoulders have been freed up by using this saddle. hope this helps. if you want the sdaddlers number send me a pm and i will give you his number.

Oh dont i love this saddle so much .... i bought a brand new one....found out my horse had KS she had op and now the saddle isnt wide enough....i had to buy an albion....i still have brand new isabell sat in my take room....i cant bare to part with her!!

Hurrah for a saddler that puts the horse first! You dont hear that very often!
