She's got her first ever show ever on Sunday on Holly , Prelim 7 and she text me yesterday saying she wishes she was doing walk trot test as she was practicing on Holly at the weekend and it wasn't going too well!

Just said to her that she will get marks for being accurate with her markers, trotting, walking precisely at the marker and getting her circles and straight lines and not to worry too much about Holly being round and soft 100% of the time?

Any more helpful tips i can tell her?

She has got Saturday to practice and i'm doing a bit of practice on Holly for her on Friday....

What do you mean by 'double marks' ?

Sorry - new to dressage not got a clue!

Usually you get a mark out of 10 per movement but free walk is marked out of 20 so worth getting that right.

Cool!

My instructor said she would have given me an 8 for my free walk when we ran through the test in my lesson!

I have told her not to worry too much about it and that she will not make a fool of herself, there is always someone worse than you

and she will be fine on Holly, Hollly isn't spooky at shows (has been out about since she was 3 1/2yo) not worried about other horses and has a lovely trot being a welsh d, but it is the first show E has ever done so she is quite worried!
