A post for all the ponies! :D

I don't really 'do' ponies anymore, ever since my two little ones went, I've just had no appeal to get back on ponies....much prefer our big lads now!!!

However, due to complete circumstances today with original horse not being caught[Little sod!!], I ended up deciding to ride Rushy's daughters pony instead, as she was the only one there left to be exercised and I really wanted to ride :/ So thought 'what the heck, I'll go for a quick pony squishing session' XD Haha! I've ridden her once or twice, but she's absolutely diddy bless her, just under 14hh and really dainty built pony. And I'm 5ft9-ish lol...hence why I usually just lunge/free school her during term time or have a coupleof different kids up that ride her for us! :p

Anywho, so after apologising profusely to her for the impending squishing about to commence, off we went.

She is such an awesome mare!!! Schooled her for a bit and she'll do shoulder in, lateral work, gallop-stop-gallop-stop, etc. Haha XD
Then the school got really dusty so went to take her out...then decided what the heck, I'll go for a hack. Realised half way round that she's never actually been out hacking on her own all the time she's been with us, but she was good as gold, just a bit 'bemused' looking really haha. They were silaging the fields where we usually have a canter round, so turned around and came back....then had the urge to take her in the field opposite our house, as there's a strip of logs up there too. Sooo...off we flew! Took her for a raz up there and aimed her over all the logs on the way up, and she flew them all bless her! They're fairly decent sized logs too, first one is only about 2'6, but then the rest are stacks of logs rather than single ones, with the middle ones reaching about 3'3/3'6...but she just flew them all bless her! Though we also added jumping a stray rabbit after the last log too....LOL. Poor thing XD
Then we went perimetre checking too, which I've not done on horseback since my little mare was here lol. How nice to have something I can just vault on from the ground again!!!

Here she is, not taken today obv as I was by myself, these were when we first got her I think and was giving her a quick MOT check before the daughter rode lol:

[Other rider is not me lol, I'm only in the ones in the school]

Hehe bless her. She's such a dude :D

So. I have the urge to jump her again tomorrow and ride her a bit more now....I rather like her, alot! I wish I was like, 8 years younger again and 2ft shorter haha XD

I feel a third horse has been added to the list for who to take to the fun ride on Sunday....though I do feel a bit cruel riding her :/ a quick 40 minute ride once in a blue moon is one thing....but maybe not a long distance ride!! She'll come back splay legged bless her!

I'm starting to scare myself....converted to hairy horses AND ponies again this year :/ Maybe it's the start of an premature mid-life crisis....lmao :p

:D Hehe, I like a bit more horse underneath me personally! Jumping with no neck in front of you isn't too fun haha....same when she lowers and gallops XD :p My god can she fly though! I want her to go pony racing...she can keep up flat out with my ex-racer [who is quite a fast bugger lol!] for about 3/4 of the gallops, but the he unleashes 6th gear and leaves her standing for a few lengths lol. But she leaves the cobs and other horses standing!

I had a 13.2 and 14.2 last year, sold the 13.2 :( but the 14hher's out on loan as she's my first pony and couldn't come to selling her.....tried and failed!!!

Ah yes but with the little ones it's not so far to fall. ;) and with the ones i ride thats a good thing ;) :D :D
And when you see a lonely packet of polos on the floor during a fun ride you can just hop off, pick them up and give your pony a nice treat. :p :D :D

Have to agree with Laura ponies are the best, my two are 12hh and 13h1 and i take the 12hh on endurance/pleasure rides... she often finishes looking better then the bigger horses... lol :D People do laugh when they see us coming though.... lol

Hahahahahahahahahahaha!!! I'm SOOOOO Making you gallop race with me tomorrow!!! hahhahaa!! :D :D :D I absolutly love her shes the best pony ever!! haha!! i told you that shes amazing!!
:)

Hehe bless them XD

Hairy's only 15hhish which seems small enough heightwise....but he's so hench it makes it seem bigger.

Getting off was funny, there should have been an extra 3 seconds till my feet grounded! Haha.
