Indie got bitten this morning by her field companion. I'd turned her out whilst I was mucking out and waiting for everybody else to arrive so we could go hacking, the YO turned her horse out in the small paddock with mine as she was doing the same thing and her mare attacked mine (they are field mates, but I think YOs horse didnt want to be put out in the small paddock with no grass she wanted the paddock with lots of grass!!) she ran at Inders and threw her self at her, then went to bite her and then turned and tried to kick her (Indie then think smaybe now is a good time to run away)!! Then they both grazed happily, but when I got indie in 5 mins later I discovered she did bite her, and bite her hard right where her saddle sits!!!! Its very swollen and really sore
But at least it wasn't a kick so I can think myself very lucky! I expect I will keep her off work will next week sometime, which is such a shame as I work in a school and we are on Easter Hols! Also I only backed her 5 weeks ago and things were really starting to come together, always the way!!
