Bored at work so decide to calculate what Eds' notional would have been had he competed in UK instead of Ireland.

BSJA awarded him £1,233 based on point system but his notional would have been £1,050. Dont feel cheated now as he still would have been out of Fox.

Then decided to tot up his wins / placings at al the levels.
Between 29/04/01 and 19/05/04 (outdoor season only)
BN (90cm) - Entered 6, won 6
Disco (1.00) - Entered 9, won 8
NewC (1.10) - Entered 13, won 7
Fox (1.20) - Entered 38, Won 13 with top 4 placing in 6 more.
1.30 - Entered 7, no wins but top 4 placing in 2.
Where he failed to place in classes it was generally a pole down in jump off.

Me thinks my horse is considerably better than his current rider.

but it's nice to know the BSJA have got the points conversion reasonably correct.
Oh and they have finally put the full rule book on the website

How cool is he

You coming sunday?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope, gonna play SJ at WL.
Now you have Ed's record you can see why I get frustrated with the 4 fault issue. Worse is that I cant escape the knowledge that it has to be an issue with the way I'm riding him.
Perhaps he just forgot how to jump in the 2 year break he had
wink.gif

Poo i thought you were commentating.... whose gonna scrape me off the floor now *sulk*

Good luck sunday, which classes?

Yes i can understand your frustration, it will come, its def improving from the last vid.

Go and have fun

1.05, 1.10 and 1.15

It's a real confidence boost for you as a rider knowing the 'chassis' beneath you is well up to the job isn't it
smile.gif
That's quite a record he's got though ! How old is he now ?

Bo has a similar record from his time in Holland although they don't actually state placings just points. Presume 1 point for a clear in the first round, and 2 points for a DC
crazy.gif
That's what it looks like anyway
tongue.gif

SJAI only award points for placings I think looking at his record

He's 10 now, 11 on the 17th July this year.

I had a very interesting conversation with his owners in Ireland a few months ago. They were conviced he would go GP. Tend to believe them as a) they already compete at that level and b) I didn't purchase him from them so no reason not to tell it straight.
The 18 months between them selling him and me buying him were not good for him.
Perhaps I should do a 'How much would you pay' for him!

I thought he was a star at Steven's.He seems happy and that's what matters not the winning they don't know much about that. It's always a bonus but health and happiness are what count

Why the Oh dear? From what you've written the people that had him were pros, and he didn't jump from May 04 to when you got him and there must have been a reason for that. His record was very impresive, although they jumped him in 38 1.20s and only 7 1.30s... I would stop being so hard on yourself, you just both need to get back into it - you got turned to the dark side of eventing and it corrupted your SJ.

BTW Oh dear is when someone rides your horse for 2 weekends and in that time wins more on it than you did in 3 years - then you really know you ain't any good

Why the Oh dear?

Coz with a record like that I certainly cant blame him for our lack of rosettes

He does seem to have remembered he's a showjumper since I've been jumping him several times a week recently.
I think it's finally thrown the light switch in his brain. Not the brightest horse on the yard.
wink.gif

Relax and enjoy.Penfold hasn't jumped a pole since Stevens as it is difficult to jump at home .Going xc schooling tomorrow at Wolvey and the hunter trials on Sunday then must get a lesson booked.Rafi 's leg is mending quite well so hope to do the dressage champs still.Entering MKBE today so hope to see you[say something nice about us]

I'll keep watch for somebody on a big chestnut Lissygan horse. You wouldn't be able to miss me yelling at my mum to put the practice fence up
tongue.gif
grin.gif
If I don't see you first come and say hello!

[/ QUOTE ]

Umm, could I yell to? Tis a pain just having to jump what ever someone else has put up.

BTW whats your name (I'm david) I really dont fancy going round to all the females on bay horses asking them if they're a super kat
crazy.gif

PMSL, you'd be asking all the wrong people then..............I'll be on a chestnut!
tongue.gif
My name is Kate (Pictures myself on the nag in the PG, we shall be looking exactly the same on Sunday
grin.gif

Ha ha, I don't think you'd want my mum doing your practice fences, she needs a bit more practice
tongue.gif
but if you need a hand in the warm up and I'm free I'll do your fences for you
laugh.gif

I wouldn't worry about it, your time will come.

I shall be at WL on Sunday either watching with my puppy (Alaskan Malamute) or in the 115cm and 120cm with my horse. Bright bay. Say hello.

Hopefully I`m going to watch as I had Roxys back done yesterday, and can`t jump til Sunday, so no time to have a jump before. I am going with a friend who will be jumping, if she has managed to fix the brakes on her lorry.
shocked.gif

She has a couple in the small ring and 1 in the 1.10 and 1.15 I think she said.
So I shall be in the practice ring, so I`ll give anyone a hand with the fences. Just shout me. And if you see me Kate, say Hello.
I am hoping to have a look at last weeks photos too. Does anyone know how much the pics are?
Good Luck to you all that are going.
We ought to all wear something similar that stands out, so as we know who we are. It`ll be like a HHO cliche.
grin.gif
grin.gif

The photo's are £10 each for the first 2 and then they're £5
laugh.gif
ot sure if how longt hey keep he photo's though. Hope you get some of yours.

Hmmm, what could we wear though? A piece of red tape around our arm or something like that?

[ QUOTE ]
crikey what a record.. do you get tempted to sell him for megabucks or no?

[/ QUOTE ]
Not a chance. It took me 6 years to find him. He's not going anywhere
wink.gif
Plus I paid very little for him so I dont see him as an assett.

Oooh lots of HHO peeps going
smile.gif

As I'm useless at regcognising peeps just look out for me and the big orange one. We will look like this except he now has a hannging snaffle, drop noseband and martingale.

Or to make it really easy, my lorry looks like this. Will be well stocked with tea and coffeee

Well i shall definitely be there with my puppy in tow, not taking Solly now as he is off to Geoff Lucketts the next day and also out 3 days over Easter. So i can be there to help with fences etc. I shall be the one with the Alaskan Malamute taking me for a walk! Now how will we recognise each other??

Don't think they keep the photo's, i bought one of Cody (puppy) last Sunday and it was £10 each or 3 for £25.
