Living 12 miles from the Lizard, Cornwall, its not often that I get to see any major Equine events anymore esp on the eventing front. Our counties advanced riders have to travel for hours and overnight to compete so guess I should keep my spectator moaning to a minimum lol....

I Wish there was more TV coverage by the BBC/Interactive, I would do anything to watch Blenheim this weekend. Its not looking too hopeful for next year according to an article in H&H ref disappointing Badminton viewing figures making them reconsider coverage for 08.

Sorry to moan, but I really really wish we could get to watch more of the sports top events.

Now contemplating getting Sky so can watch H&C TV.

I love it down here dont get me wrong, taking the horses down to the beach/amazing hacking etc comes at a price I guess, with Royal Cornwall and Spirit of the Horse about as far as Cornwall goes for major events. Roll on P2P season. x

You can watch H+C TV online and Country TV online also (for small subscription). Country TV is allegedly covering Blenheim - I am going tomorrow to see what sort of job they make of it as I work for the co that do all of the racing broadcast stuff and we think that we could do eventing/polo/P2P for a sensible cost - we provide the feeds for C4 and BBC racing anyway, so the broadcasters could take our feed if required and not have ot spend millions on outside broadcast kit.

Will be interesting to see how things go a Blenheim as the camera team doing it are not experienced in sporting events so could be a giggle! shame that none of the events organisers have got their heads round the value of televising events/showing footage in the corporate boxes/bars etc - think of how many people sit and watch the big screen at Badminton (and probably don't even bother to watch a real horse!!).

CatherineP thanks for that - sounds like blenheim footage could be interesting lol. Would be good if you could post any progress re coverage on here, know Im not alone in wishing we could see more top level GG action. x
