You can do what you want in a clear round i think??I used to put the jumps up and go round a couple of times, depends how the shows run really and how strict they are..
And no, i dont think you get to walk to jump off... Well i never have but i maybe wrong, im a dressage girl. Good luck and relax!!! You will be fine

Make sure lots of people go round before you, so you learn the course from how they do it! I find that more helpful than walking anyway.

They'll let you know the jump off course before you do it so really don't worry. The best thing to do is go in and try to relax as you'll put your horse off. If it goes wrong do not panic as you'll get more confident in time. There have been occasions when the best have made a big hash of it and the trick is perseverence. Ideally if you don't go first you've got less chance of going the wrong way but before you do it, chill, clear your head a the main thing is focus. Take 5 out and make sure you're head is on right and you will be fine. The more you flap the more likely you are to go wrong.

Good luck and try not to worry. You'll be fine

Ditto what others have said, I would watch other competitors and see how they go round, and try and learn it that way
