A tick !! yes A Tick - on my side - felt something - interrupted his football and he said "its a mole leave it alone" asked him to look properly at which point he got all excited went and got his brand new lumix camera and took a photo - size of a pin head but he blew it up and I was really grossed out. Luckily he managed to remove it with a pair of tweezers, we then took another photo of ticky area on me and blew it up to check no head left !!!!! I can thoroughly therefore recommend the Lumix camera

yuck, yuck, yuck

will post a picture when he sends it to me - really wish I hadnt seem it blown up - looked flippin huge ..... poor dog has had loads - know how he feels now !!

what worries me is where else they can crawl and hide !! ahhhhhh

Went in long hay field tonight think I will give it a miss till cut and avoid cuddling dog until I have double checked him !

They are disgusting arent they. My hubby has had three or four in the last month and my five year old had one in his face. Can't stand them!

Omg that is definitely yucky! Please post a warning about graphic images on whatever thread you post a picture of that on! Eeew!

Good that he got it out though! :)

Hi

Just a note of caution, ticks can carry Lyme disease :( If you start feeling ill or the area very red etc get yourself down to docs asap. It is a very nasty disease that people dont know they have. Your OH did the right thing though with the tweezers.

Hope you are ok:)

Usually the tick would have to be attached for 36/48 hours or more to transmit Borelliosis, so if it was only tiny there is very, very little risk. Horrible disease though.

It came off quite easily with tweezers - the couple of glasses of merlot I had earlier that evening may have urged it off haha ! - my aunt had lymes disease and it is nasty so know what to look out for but I am sure I will be fine.
