My originally non-horsey, severely allergic OH has become seriously into horses!
He has been lucky enough to be able to work past his allergies, with the aid of medication, and is forever reading and researching and asking questions. He even wanted to learn to ride but has had to shelve that (for now at least) due to a slipped disc
So instead he helps out with all sorts of on the ground stuff. Mucking out, turnout, bring in, making up feeds, lunging, etc. He has even started helping with other liveries horses too - when asked, he isn't randomly working with horses
I am so proud of him. It's done a lot for his confidence too. Yesterday he started theorising ways to make muddy gateways a thing of the past; he's convinced there must be a solution to the problem. Please note, this is not for my benefit. Oh no.
He is worried about the horse..!
It's adorable! He was free lunging her today and it was just so good to see how happy they both were. They really have bonded.
Beginning to think that I may need another horse at this rate, lol!
