I have advertised my 4 year old section C mare for sale, 2 call so far.....

call 1........... will she be suitable for my daughter coming off lead rein??? - ummm, no, did you not read the ad?? especially the sentance "as yet unbroken due to lack of time"

call 2 your'e gonna love it!!

'are you loaning it? no? well, will you loan it to me please?'

'does it come with a headcollar and rope?'

'can i have it for x amount (usually half the asking price) ? No? what about if you take it's shoes off? It doesnt wear them? oh, I don't want it then...'

'I know you said it's a lead rein pony but do you recon i could ride it? I'm 15 stone...'

'is it white? No? Sorry, my daughter wants a white one...' (when advert says what colour it is)

'Can i have it on trial for the summer holidays?'

'does it like cats?'

'will you swap it for a moped / car/ unbroken colt ('we got it from the sales for our two year old child and can't catch it and then she went in the field with it t play and it tried to kill her, it;s evil...') '

And last but not least those who phone you on a weekly basis asking the above questons (usually, 'havent you sold it yet? can i have it on loan then?') so learn to recognise voices and quickly say 'it;s sold'.
