So my coloured has never been an angel to catch. Today I trooped up the (rather large) field to find the three of them munching away. Armed with my bucket I quietly approached hoss, handed him the bucket and the moment the rope came near him off he shot, away with the wind, Monty cob in tow. So the only horse I could catch was Bertha, ironic she is the only one Im not taking tonight

Sister comes home from school and asks "why have you not brought the horses in, we are jumping at 6.30pm?"
I had a few heated words and a general sulk about not being able to catch them. Lis tootles off saying- "ill catch him" I couldnt help but laugh and think what a likely story that would be, my sister doesnt have a sympathetic or technical approach to horses.
So I sat on the patio step watch her trudge up the field, bucket, rattling, shouting, leadropes dragging in the mud *rolls eyes*

typical Lissy. Sodding horse trots up to her, lets her chuck a leadrope around his neck, fart about flappishly for a few seconds with the headcollar before hurling it over his head, no cunning quiet approach like me, and the damned animal doesnt bat an eyelid-

My arab is the same, most of the time he is fine to catch, just occasionally he can be a complete sod. However send someone esle in and he is absolutely fine! They do it to embarass us!!!

LOL! Star likes to keep me on my toes when it comes to catching. You do have to laugh, else you'll cry!!
