Agh!! I'm sitting here in total darkness, because the electricity got disconnected. Paid the bill, in full yesterday, and have my receipt, but got home from work to find they had disconnected me anyway, as it takes 4 working days to process. Thank god the kiddies are at there dads tonite. So no tv, cant read due to lack of light, cant eat cos i cant cook, battery will only last so long in the laptop, and it's only 7.46. I'd be on the wine if I wasn't broke after paying the esb bill, Please let tomorrow be a better day!!!
 
Oh no that's rubbish!
You'd better have a healthy dinner of crisps and chocolate that requires no cooking, and get some candles so you can enjoy a good book... either that or use car headlights...
Hope things pick up and it doesn't take them 4 days to reconnect your power!
 
update, today is worse, rang them, and they are now looking for a further €178 + VAT reconnection fee before they will come out and reconnect me. Ah head wrecked, dont get paid til 2m, and will be seriously broke after paying them more money tomorrow. need to win the lotto, or scratch card or something!!! Candles and crisps again tonight!!!
 
Tell them you have kids with athsma and the damp will hurt them - sorry, its the only thing I can think of.

Surely if you paid the bill before you were cut off they shouldn't have cut you off or was it too late.

My kids both have asthma, so wouldnt be lying, but they just dont care. I shouldn't have been cut off, the girl I spoke to this morning, was able to tell me that I had phoned at 10.00am on Monday, and paid so it shouldnt have been disconnected, but they "forgot" to contact the guys on the trucks, so I got disconnected, but it's company policy that you have to pay the reconnection fee before they will reconnect, even if it was their fault!!! Oh what a joke, this country is laughable!!!!!

It'll all work out fine, It's just so frustrating, never mind the fact that I'll be broke for the whole week now!!!!! Good job the horse feed is already there!! At least the horses wont go hungry!!
