The forcast it pants all week but we do need this rain to soften the ground as its rock hard again in the south east.

I have to rug up in wet weather as my TB gets really cold when when and all her muscles tie up poor girl.

I think we can safly say winter is on its way.

I bought mine in last night and thank god, we had to sail everywhere at the yard this morning. Have gone to work and boys are all tucked up in clean stables with big haynets so am feeling all mumsie.

Pickle is still out rugless, all he has is a few measly trees as shelter, I am so evil!!! Oh well am going up to ride in a bit, can bring in the drowned beast and dry him off

Sorry but its really nice in west Yorkshire too today!!! just wish i could ride. Physio has no to ridding untill i have had my back scanned!!!!

dam you all with good weather, was hoping to take pickley on a hack today, but as we have an indoor school am never going to be able to make myself hack today!

Rode at 7:30 today, before sister whent to work. I am 'working from home' this am

The weather is glorious here, but we have had soft ground all summer, we live on top of a hill at the top of the pennines, and we have still had wet feet all summer!

I was woken by an almighty clap of thunder and torrential rain - but all mine are stabled at night anyway. I have all my winter rugs on standby

Your hooded rain jacket is exactly where you left it, dear

P.S. It's lovely and sunny just now

Forget hoods, this morning was wax hat weather. It nearly blew off, but would rather that and still be able to hear my OH's shouting as we try to haul them all indoors.

I will probably be buying a field shelter this winter (unless I rent land with one already on) - what size did you buy etc?

I have a 20' x 10' Mobile one on skids by Redmire ..... 12' x 24' would be better for bigger neds and you can then use them as Stables
smile.gif
.... not sure if they would move on the skids easily, but saying that I have never moved mine yet

Well, I'm taking my Dad away for a weekend down West....forecast is rain, rain RAIN, which means he'll moan all weekend : (

Still, I bought Rosie a new lightweigt outdoor rug last week, so she was nice and dry this morning!

[/ QUOTE ]I have the "National Stables" 12 x 24 with an overhang on skids and they move well. We do move it about quite often though, when they are left in one place for a few months they get a bit "fixed" and take a bit more moving. Wonderful building though and the horses love it.
