Wow that's amazing Saf, you're an inspiration!
You're certainly making me feel better about my doubts over how far I'm going to go!
Best of luck.

That is fantastic Saf, I wish you lots of luck. I was wondering if I was being foolish to think I could get back into competing and have a go at BE at the grand old age of 38, but you have given me renewed optimism! Thankyou

Thank you everyone, I'm not sure about inspiration

but that's what I like about horses is that age really has no boundarys except for the bones aching and the nerves going that bit more

I'm going to aim to get round no matter how slow or how many penalties we get

OMG! amazing.....at 27 i often feel that i have missed my prime in terms of eventing (i didn't start until 3 years ago- never did pony club or anything like that) and that i will be a perennial pre novicer- you have inspired me to aim higher!

good luck

Wow Saf, how fantastic, good luck and can't wait to read the report! I'm another old git wanting to start eventing at the age of *(cough cough mumble mumble)* so you are a real inspiration!

Good on you - I am sure you will fly round! I am another for whom your words are an inspiration. I evented as a youngster and then didn't have a horse for years - I really want another crack at it but am 35 and sometimes the voice of doubt tells me I am too old and am never going to do it! I will think of you now and banish those doubts to the back of my mind! Good luck

Well done, go for it

As another eventer who really is old enough to know better (and there are more of us around than you might think
wink.gif
) as well as mother to one of the much-disapproved of (in some quarters
grin.gif
) 12 year olds competing, there's room of everyone is this sport I reckon

Glad to hear I'm not the only one starting eventing at a slightly advanced age! I'm not yet 40 (well, not for a couple of months anyway

), and about to do my first BE90. Good luck to you!

Good for you! You've got a lovely horse, a great partnership and you've prepared both of you well - I'm sure you'll have a great run. Loads of luck.

As an aside, sorry we weren't able to say "hi" in the real world last week but I had to dash off. Some other time.
