I did a bad thing :)
A couple of weeks ago I saw an ad on preloved (I know, I know!) for a couple of dogs, one being a springer bitch, 12 years old, free to good home.
I toyed with the idea of ringing, imagining all the places an old girl like that could end up before putting my sensible head on and deciding I had better not!

Nearly three weeks later a phonecall came through at work asking if we could take a collie and an old black and white springer - the descriptions of which were alarmingly familiar - they were the same dogs I had so nearly gone to see!

I figured she was probably meant to come here all along, so, errr, here she is!

Had to share, am a bit over excited :)

She is gorgeous! She looks just like my little minx of a spangle except mine is liver not black. I just can not resist those eyes!

Sadly OH wouldnt let me take both, he would have gone spare :(
The collie is going to live with a workmates friend providing she gets on with his current Shepherd cross. Fingers crossed it is a happy ending for her too.

She doesnt look her age at all, even her teeth are in pretty good nick, she had 2 little mammary lumps off yesterday though, so fingers crossed we caught them in time and they are nothing nefarious. Either way she is settling in very nicely, already stolen poor Baxters bed!

I do hope her procedure is successful and its good news for the Collie as well, we are inandated with Spangles & GSD we need more Dobes & Lancashire Heelers. In fact there were only 37 Lancashire Heeler puppies bred this year from 10 litters and this breed is very vunerable.
