I'm a newbie to all this hoof boot stuff as I had retired my horse thinking him unrideable but as he seems to move easier without his shoes I thought I would trying riding him again (he has wobblers).
I have just bought my horse some Cavallo Simple boots which fit fine.
but today I received the Gel Pads which I bought for the fronts initially and have been over zealous in trimming them.
I now have one that's a size 3 (correct) and another size 2 (too small) - boo hoo !!

Get a garden kneeling pad from B & Q. Stand the horse on paper or cardboard and draw round his feet. You can then cut that out and use it as a template for cutting the pad. Works a treat.

Cavallo gel pads are not great anyway, give v little support and wear away v quickly, so as above use PVA pad or something similar, or buy comfort pads.
