Finally, my hay was cut this morning. Now there's a storm brewing. Farmer came and did it when I wasn't here, otherwise I'd have said to wait until tomorrow.

If my hay wasn't on the floor I'd be thrilled to have a storm, it's 29C here and I'm melting, who needs a sauna?! Air, need air, it's so still.

Did the farmer not know the storm was coming? Seems a bit daft to cut it now. At these it should cool down at bit.

Farmer is p*****d at me for asking if he would rather I get a Contractor in as he's taken 3 weeks to come over to do it. All said very politely and in a "If it's inconvenient for you, I can always.........blah, blah, blah" way, but he's got the hump.

If the farmer didn't know there was a storm coming then he must be the only person in Ontario not to!! We ALL know the storm is going to hit later this afternoon.

I'd be pretty miffed too Enfys! We are cutting tomorrow AFTER the storm LOL!!

Ha! Same here. When the local contract farmer cuts my hay we know its going to rain! Bit of a standing joke really

So know how you are feeling.

Hope the rain stays off for you.

Well, we had some distant rumblings and about 10 minutes of light rain (think less than a garden sprinkler) so fingers crossed (Please) that that was it.

Downside of it is that I still have to water the flower beds and vegetables.

Well its now 12.30am here and as yet we still haven't had one drop of rain!!

Just looked on farmzone and now they have changed it to that we are now NOT having the storm up here!!

Friggin' weather! It's certainly not helpful to us hay farmers.
