The vet came to assess my mares lameness after the series of cartrophen injections for her ringbone.
She is a lot better than she was, but isnt totally sound - about 1/10th lame on hard ground, possibly slightly more on a sharp turn.
The vet said it would be fine to just walk her out, but not trotting on the roads.
Am really gutted, she looked sound doing acrobatics in the field the other day, but suppose that's cos the ground is soft and she was enjoying herself too much to stop
Sooo it looks like I will have 2 big fat field ornaments now.
But worst of all.... horse hunting is looming again Aaagh!!
I'm so rubbish at it (think I will leave it til the spring though)
