Well guess what my OH has done, accidently thrown away a lock of mane which belonged to Peggy Sue an grey old pony we rescued from Pannel Horse Sales, when we had her PTS I took a lock of her tail (and plaited it like some of us do to remind me of her as she was such a sweet pony), it was something that was very special to me and I'd kept for 15 years in my jewellery box or next to, anyway we bought a new dresser and my OH moved all my stuff out the other week while I was down at the yard one evening said he threw a few odds and and ends away and bits of tissue/paper some random hair extensions etc etc I was noticed this morning it had gone, he's has accidently binned it.

I was terribly upset this morning, not mad with him of course I know it was a mistake but I just couldn't stop crying, I can't believe its now gone and there is no way of me getting it back.

Pointless post but just make sure your OH's are aware of these things, I'd hate it to happen to anyone else.

Oh that's really sad

. ((((hugs)))) for you hun. It's terrible that the lock of hair is gone, but at least you have your happy memories of Peggy Sue and the fact that you rescued her and gave her a wonderful happy home to live out her days in.

I now count myself as almost lucky that my hubby never ever tidies anything up!!

Yeah I know I'm lucky he's really good in the house cleaning/washing etc, so I can't complain after all he was only trying to do me favour after all moving my stuff, I didn't shout at him or anything like that, wasnt cross just crying frantically on the phone because it's gone, but there is nothing I can do now so no point getting upset anymore over it, its just a shame, something I can't ever replace.

I'm really sorry for you .

My husband is like that ( I'm messy & he's super tidy ) & he's thrown out loads of stuff of mine that had great sentimental value - I wouldn't mind if he'd asked me first , although the answer would have been no .

Thanks guys,

Glad I'm not the only one...meaning someone with a bloke who is super tidy and organised, shouldn't complain really though.
