Ok it's not horsey but so peed off with OH tonight, i thought i'd cook something a bit different as all been tired and busy lately so dinners have been quite unadventurous. Even after my efforts he still managed to moan about something "it was too strong" "not how i would have done it"

After many mutterings under my breath and biting of lip i have told him that for a while it is his turn, come up with food ideas and make it...and that i don't want ready meals all the time and a good bit of variety...

Maybe then i'll sit back and make snide comments about his cooking and keep a supply of quick meals just incase!
Don't people realise that thses sort of comments chip away at you?
Sometimes just wonder why you bother....sorry moan over!

I don't really cook much. I'm vegetarian, OH isn't (but will happily eat Quorn) and we are both on WeightWatchers, although I am rather more focussed than him! Hence I've had 40g pasta tonight with mushrooms, onions, Philly extra light, and he's had pizza!

I don't enjoy cooking at all, if it takes longer than 10 minutes from thought to plate, I'm not interested, and I guess OH realises he's lucky to be fed, even if it's a bit boring!

I never used to mind it but then i was just cooking for myself. I'm a bit like you now, quick and easy just hard not to eat the same few things every few days. When your busy and tired last thing i want to do is slave over a cooker.

pmsl i love good food i can cook but ummmmm cant be bothered - my ex hubby cooked all time to point in last year together i cooked 5 times - thats breakfast lunch and dinner lol - sorry i say you have a prob with my cooking then you cook lol :)

OH would not dare complain about my cooking, he's just grateful for the days I do cook.

When we first met he complained about how I ironed his shirts, I just said 'no probs, if you want them without the crease down the arm do them yourself'.

If it's not to his liking, then suggest he does the cooking. Your forte is probably looking after your horse.

Very true, i can groom very well when got the time, he'd probably miss the important bits or 'do it wrong'. I guess we all have things that we are better at, although i'm happy with my cooking!

I loveee cooking and cook everything from scratch because I have way too much time on my hands some days :(
Anyway I bought jamies 30min meals book and have been trying them and they are great I think! Yummy and quick!

You have just reminded me that i was bought that at xmas, i will sit down and plan meals from it...i must make use of it. In the meantime can make some orders with you? i'll pay well :D

Mummytotwo - OH asked for that book for Christmas, I had a flick through and thought it looked way to complicated - and 30 minutes, far too long.

Should also say - I have a rule regarding ironing, it gets done for weddings and funerals. End of.

ok what i tend to do is a cookathon............. batch cook and freeze or when cooking stew make extra and freeze, then in the week etc all you have to do is ping!:)
