ok i love heavy horses, what breeds have very very very very strong bone can you get with little or no feather to them. i have heavy coloured cobs with plenty of feather and i have coloured sport horses with good bone and no feather. but what breeds can you get with extremly heavy bone and little to none feather. just wondering, so have fun and add any breed even if you dont know what it is as long as it is a very very very strong bone horse with little or no feather. thanks

My favourites, and very common here, a lot are still worked in harness, but they are also used as riding horses. I have one that comes on vacation here that is 18h.
Belgian Draft.

omg stunning very like suffolk punch, can you get different colours in them. would love something like them in black or dark dapple grey. as from my previous thread bout very heavy irish drafts soooooooo hard to find but the one i seen years ago was as heavy as these and thats what i want so open to any breeds now really. what disciplines can you use them in, i am not in to competing so really just for me and have fun. as have lighter horses for serious jumping. just want great big strong horse so hard to find this bone.

love suffulk punch but only in chestnut, although i love dark deep liver chestnut. height wise i wouldnt want any taller than 15.2hh, so suffolk too big for me. have ridden a 18hh before and loads of 16-17nhands but prefer 15-15.2hhs. as easy to get on. can you get this height in breeds like this, extremly strong bone with little or no feather.

Spanish-Norman (Andalusian x Percheron)

Google them, now being bred in UK but primarily in the US

OMG saw one of these in Jerez at the School, oh it was stunning, and so chunky and the bluest grey with the most stunning star shaped whites dapples, oh he was gorgeous, and very very very sweet but moved and worked beautifully.

Old fashioned Irish Draught - leg in each corner, very chunky and no hair. Alternatively the Percheron or the wonderful Suffolk Punch.

Personally I love the hair.... though having spent ages on P&S and legs this week on my hairy two, there are times when I wish I did clip them out.
