Once I've sold my pony (only sold as i cannot ride any more due to medical prob) can I find a nice horse to 'look after'?? Fine balance between having a horse that does not go mad because it's not ridden and a horse that soes not go mad theough boredon??

definitely! If you post were you are I'm sure someone on here will have something that needs a good fuss (you could certainly fuss Mr P to death if you are local) OR a local animal rescue place might like it or something?

What you need is a weanling, or a yearling, they need company, of the herd sort, but you can do bits and pieces, when it suits you.
The New Forest sales are on soon; transport can be arranged to all parts of the UK, they are super ponies, no hang ups and great conformation. You could buy two and they could be best buddies.

Oh I know u say u can't ride due to medical issues, have u considered driving as an option or would that also not be possible?
My YO's daughters have driving ponies, one took me around the farm and it was fantastic :)

What about driving or showing in hand so the horse/pony has a job. Benson on here bought her little Welsh to show in hand......
