Seeming as though I received an enormous amount of support from you all last week regarding the atrocious care my mare received at her OLD yard.......this is her one week on.....I know its only a week, but I know my horse, and she has definitely begun to show signs improvement.....

thank you! Its not a huge difference but its a start. It turned my world upside down. I couldn't eat for days (which is sooooo unlike me ;))

How awful that your old yard were so lax. Makes a case for livery yard licensing to me... get rid of the cowboys!

Glad to see her looking better though, you must be so relieved! At least it is easier to get weight on than off (generally!):)

Her feed regime is intense! She gets, both AM and PM:

1 scoop Saracan Veterin mix
1/4 scoop Saracan Equijewel
1 scoop Dengie Alfa A chaff
Splodge of Speedy beet
Splodge of Apple cidar vinegar

Whole bale of hay per day :)

**amends response** Easier, but not necessarily cheaper!

Don't tempt me! My boyfrield has been trying to calm we down all week. I have been SO CLOSE to litigation. I think he knew she would be right soon and didn't want anymore stress in my life with having those idiots still in my life.

The new YO is fabulous.

That's a good improvement in just a week (although not surprising- she is getting fed better than I do!! :D) Bet you're so glad to have her away from that awful place! You should kick up some fuss though- don't let them get away with it. I understand though that you want nothing more to do with them. Hopefully other people at the yard who saw the state of your poor horse will vote with their feet and leave!

She is starting to look better! I couldn't believe what they did to her at your old yard and I don't blame you for being so distraught! Hope all goes well at your new yard, keep us posted :)

Amazing!! You can see a real difference in just 1 week. Well Done, you should be very proud x

I wish I could take the credit but its all down the new YO. She knows exactly what to do and just took over. I think she saw me in such direstraits it was obvious me and my mare needed someone to help. The food regime is expensive but its so so so worth it. I am hoping in a month or so she can be taken off the Equijewel and start to chill out.

I splashed out on a Rambo blue and white fleece for her yesterday and I am now looking at more rugs for her winter collection. She is going to be spoilt rotten!
