Did you have a number of people watching them, who never bid? If you did, then the problem is not with the boots themselves, its with either the price or the structure of the auction.

You may already have heard this one, but don't bother with a reserve. Set your start price at the lowest price you would accept, make it clear right from the start. I think people find reserves on Ebay quite annoying and frustrating, as you essentially have to guess how much the seller thinks the boots are worth.

They are gorgeous boots, I am sure with a bit of re-jigging of the advert, you shouldn't have any problem selling them.
 
i had quite a few watchers, a few people emailed to ask if i had a buy it now price (which i didnt, kinda wanted to test the water first).

I didnt want to set the price i wanted first as i really ddnt want to scare people off, ideally i would like at least £85 or so for them. does this sound reasonable?
do you think i would get more or less?
should i say start them off at £85 and say NO RESERVE?
 
Yes, I would start them at £85 and see how much interest you get. Have a look for similar listings and see what sort of prices they are going for as well. I honestly think you'll sell them much more easily when people know what price they have to pay up front.
 
i always put a B.I.N. price on advert so folks see what price they should go for, but i also put starting price as the minium monies i will accept, so therefore no reserve........

Also you need to write good advert and as not limited for words the worlds your oyster
 
thats good to hear, i have written a good description i think, i have said how much they are to buy new as well.

Its difficult as not many long boots of a specific make go up on ebay, or they are not of similar quality/wear and tear, or they are very odd sizes which do not appeal as much to such a wide range of people. As i watched them for a few weeks previous to putting mine on.
Shall relist mine tommorrow.
