So i've got my first show with my share horse on the 7th of june and it's also my first show since i was 15 (i am now 22
blush.gif
) It's a showing show and i am not sure what to wear for it, sorry don't know what classes i'm entering yet until i get the schedule but he's a cob and it'll be a ridden class lol if that's any help, not sure what classes coblets qualify for.

I have some old show stuff, some of which still fits fine, however i may need to get a couple of new things however WHAT DO I WEAR?! What colour jacket and jods/breeches etc?

Sorry i know this is a really stupid question but it's been a long time and i think i've only ever done one showing show before when i was about 14 so can't remember what the hell i wore plus that was with a completely different breed etc.

Any help would be appreaciated.x

ETS Oh and i am BRICKING IT. Haha.x

It's meant to be whiterails, sarah and sharon have suggested i do a prelim, can you imagine me doing a prelim, what a sight! BUT i am determined if i do to make as little fool out of myself as poss so have decided to really work hard over the next few weeks, starting thurs and work on everything, mainly transitions and getting him to go into an outline, he WILL do it for me but it takes me about half an hour to get him to do so and obviously i don't have half an hour in a show grr.

YES, let's practice, practice, practice together!x

Yeh, that's what i was thinking, he's fine when i get him to go in an outline.....UNTIL i stop. Then when i pick up walk/trot again it'll take me about 10 minutes for him to go back down into an outline, arghh, i get so frustrated, especially with myself!

Yes sounds good :) Think i might bring him for hack on sat and have another lovely (controlled) canter hehe.

Where's your clinic?x

For cob classes a tweed jacket is correct, with beige or canary - watch the "yellowness" it varies from brand to brand!! breeches, brown gloves are more correct than black, wear a shirt and a tie to match the rest of your outfit, and a navy hat tops it off - if you are really going for it, wear garter straps and spurs too! good luck and have fun!!

So you think navy hat rather than black, yeh was thinking beige jodhpurs as i am a bit worried that canary as you say will come our orange. Grr have just looked and found out that my mum has managed to dye my beige jodhpurs a weird shade of green in the wash so looks like i'll be investing in a new pair.

I wanted to wear spurs as i normally ride him in spurs, although just looked at rules and it says no spurs, so with regards to whip what should i use?
