I've been struggling with Molly's scabby legs for a while now, frontline-ing, pig oil/sulphuring, but as I couldn't feel or see skin, never mind get any products onto it.
So I took the plunge and chopped her feather off!!!!:eek:
Ignore the terrible clip job, she wouldn't keep her legs still and the light was fading so I gave up, to tidy up the job later, but I don't think she looks too bad...

As someone who loves hairies (expecially ones with pom pom feet) I was about to say "Nooooooo".....

But she looks very nice! :)

He He!! from title i thought a cheeky boy had lost his PLUMS!!! (Human/Equine)

Some times its best to just get em off!! On the upside if u decide u want feathers again, they will grow back alot faster than u imagine.

I think she looks lovely both ways!!

Am glad to know they'll grow again, but I like seeing those hooves for the time being.

She is lovely, I can assure you. Moments after there photos, my sister in law jumped on and walked down the lane, no hat, stirrups about 5 holes too long, snow on the ground and flanked by my two small children!! Mol's behaved impeccably as always.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in mourning.

RIP feathers :(

:D:DI was just about to compose you a PM, warning you not to look at this post!!:D:D

I'm sorry, but best for all concerned and they'll grow back, if I ever let them, mwhahahah!:D I left the mane though, really couldn't face hogging that, it's too beautiful.:)

Haha! If I'd decided to log back on here a day later than last night, I'd have probably have missed this post and would have been none the wiser.

Damnit!!!

LOL

Course she still looks pretty either way. :)

She looks a lot smarter and it will be so much easier to get rid of the scabs now! I do love hairies but I must say I am also a fan of cobs with clipped out legs as they look lovely! :)

I was sooo worried about doing it, but I really think she looks good too. She has such tree trunk legs now tho!:D
I love her hairy, makes her looks like she's floating along the ground, that's why I wouldn't dare touch that mane.

Aww, I'm a big fan of feathers OFF for cobs, and I think she looks just lovely. But more importantly she'll be feeling a lot more comfortable too, and you can deal with the dreaded itchy scratchy skin.
