Some of you may remember a couple of months ago i posted about a horse i went to see. He had a buck in the school and then i had a bit of a snotty text from his owner. After asking advice on here on wether to buy him or not. I listened to everyones views, took a step back, slept on it, and then told the girl selling him on behalf of her friend, that if the other people going to view him wanted him then that would be my loss.
I never trust my gut instinct and be totally honest i don't know what my gut was telling me... i was totally stuck.
Really really liked the horse, but had been lied to by rearing horses owner and ended up losing confidence in horses and their owners!!

Anyway i am a firm beliver that if it's meant to be, it will be.
To cut a long story short......
Two weeks later i set off with trailer, after renegotiating on price, and getting a really good deal, and picked up my new boy.

He has been here just over 5 weeks now, and is the best thing since sliced bread.
I got him home then realised i'd lost my bottle, even grooming him made me feel shocking, and i honestly thought i'd made a huge mistake.
Spent the first 2 weeks just grooming and being with him, the thought of getting on terrified me!!
Now though i trust him completly, and we are having a great time. We have had some wonderful hacks alone and in company. We have seen every sort of traffic there is including today a low flying helicopter. And had some great canters up the farmers field. Not a buck in sight!!
So i guess what i'm trying to say is, i am completly happy with my new man and think he is the "best thing since sliced bread" He has not put one foot wrong yet, and if he does then i guess we shall deal with it, but for now he is a superstar!!
So glad i didn't miss out on him. I very nearly did

Well done, its great to hear a happy ending, I am sure you will go from strength to strength with this horse.

Tackling nerves is so very hard, and I hope your post inspires others.

He is a real gent. Very kind and gentle. First time i took him out, he would have known how i felt but he didn't do a thing wrong.
He is wonderful to ride, and yes i feel like we can do anything now. May even ride him to the moon soon, lol
Have just posted pics in gallery if you want to see him
xx

.

I never worry about what horses are like in their first month with me as it often takes time for them to settle into a new lifestyle but they do generally all come right in the end.

Nice story - fab ending.
