What are the knobbley bits called inside the hind 'knee'. Fly seens to have rather 'exposed' ones. He somehow knocked one tonight and its really a bony area and looked quite sore. Will try to get a photo later.
Very frustrating.........I will get photos I promise! All I can say is if you imagine the hock, well, think of the inside and there is a knobly bit! (perhaps its just Fly that has this)!! Well, he has punctured his! Sounds bad, hope it isn't but punctured is the word that springs to mind although it doesn't look particulary bad. (oooh, I can see how this is coming across as worse than it is)!! My fault entirely, I asked him to jump on soggy ground, he was apprehensive, I insisted. Enough said, he was right, I was wrong, too wet, he caught himself. Suitably humbled and apologetic. xx
Do you mean the hard pointy bone which sticks out on the inside at the top of the cannon bone? I should just hose it regularly and keep him walking on it so it doesn't stiffen up.
If it is just superficial you could spray it with a vet. powder.
