OH has just revealed that he bought two tickets . . . prize money is £130M give or take . . . yes, yes, yes, I KNOW the odds are stacked waaaaaaaaaaaaay against us, but . . . if we win . . . oh good Lord!

So. Who has played (i.e., squandered some money on a hopeless folly) and what will you do with the winnings if you win?

Me . . . I'd pay off all our debt, buy a property with land so I could keep the GreyDonk at home and purchase a companion or two for him (probably a couple of *****lands). I'd have a little Equitrek box for pootling to clinics, perhaps going to friends' yards to go hacking, etc.. . . a sand paddock for laminitics, a manege, stables, tack room, feed room, hot/cold running water for wash downs, solarium. We wouldn't need a big house (three/four beds will do us) but I would want lots of land. Non-negotiables in the house are: working fireplaces in the living room and possibly the dining room. Separate dining/living room, but dining room off the big farmhouse kitchen. Separate laundry/utility room with ironing board. Separate family room/den for my teenage girls to hang out with their friends.

I'd like a walled garden (and a gardner . . . who has time for gardening when they can spend all their time playing with their horse and walking the dogs?) and also a dedicated "dog garden" where I could let them out to poo/run. OH would like a music/mixing room to noodle/put together tunes (he's very talented). I'd also like a lovely big kitchen . . . lots of counter space, an Aga and a regular gas oven, double sinks and a big farmhouse table. I love to cook and would love the luxury of space for things like making fresh pasta.

I'd put money aside for my girls' education, give some money to important members of both mine and OH's family, put money aside for my girls to buy their own homes one day, buy my OH a lovely new car. I would certainly set up regular gifts to certain charities . . . but I'd be wanting to research those charities pretty thoroughly to make sure most of my money was going to the cause rather than the administration. I'd also like to foster . . . I know it isn't about money, but having the time not having to go to work would afford me would mean (I feel) I could do it right.

We'd have several holidays a year . . . go and visit family in the US as often as necessary (particularly my MIL who is now the same as age as HM The Queen but not in quite as good nick) and a couple of others in the UK or Europe to relax and enjoy each other's company . . . if money's no object we'd fly the dogs over with us and hire a temporary groom to look after the equines while we were away.

Gosh . . . demanding much?

How about you?

P

Would purchase a nice showing horse and a showjumper, both on livery at my stables :') put a lot away for uni, treat my parents, donate to charity and invest some so I can live luxuriously :D

I had made plans....
Such wonderful, heavenly plans.

New house, land, holidays and even a sunseeker yacht! (Spied them in Poole the other day!!!)

Now my wasted pennies, which should have gone to a bar of choccie, have, well, gone to some other person...

Where's the thanks then?? C;mon, own up... I'll even take it in Dutch!

:):););)

I have! Haven't checked my ticket yet though.

I would also buy a house not too big but with lots of land to move my boy & his field friend onto, build a nice indoor school so I can ride in all weathers. I would also probably get another horse or two to keep my sister & mum entertained.

I would also get a couple of puppies, another german short haired pointer & a vizsla.

I have also told a lot of my friends & family that I will take them to Florida with me for a holiday, I think we may have to book out half of kissimmee the amount of people I've invited! Disney & Harry potter world here we come!

I will only be disappointed when tomorrow no email with "news" comes or even more disappointed when it does & I've won £4.60 again!

I bought the chocolate and wine - I know how lucky I am!!

We play this game every week! I think, even with something ridiculous like £150m, I would still keep H at our current yard as he is so happy there :D Maybe we'd get some others to keep in our own stables and then eventually move him home :D

I got the 2 stars and got excited...

Unfortunately I only had 1 of the stars so actually have only won about £10 :(

Would buy a nice yard with some boxes, build an indoor school and xc course and buy a couple of new horses- one I could do affiliated sj or be eventing on. I would then use the remaining boxes for carefully selected liveries so Id have people to hack out with :)

Although if I won that much money may just buy the land, get permission and design my own yard!

Would obv also give some to family and friends too.

Oh well, someone has won the £126,000,000 jackpot................... unfortunately it wasn't me .... I'll invest a £1 on tonights Lotto........no where near as big a jackpot but would still be very nice to win........................... I live in hope ;)

I just had my "there is news on your account" message.. I won't £6! Woop!
I'm off to Newmarket today so maybe I'll be able to make some more out of it, although knowing nothing about racing & picking horses based on their looks or name, I doubt it.

I won... Nothing!

I love day dreaming of what I'd buy.

First would be a new car... A Ferrari or something.

Then a new house in the countryside. A huge mansion with indoor pool, cinema room etc...

But my main home would be abroad maybe Kentucky or Miami. It'd be massive but also my yard :) big indoor/outdoor, swimming pool, 100's acres... I'd have about 10 horses I think.

... Getting carried away!
