Our little JRT over the last couple of months produces very thin poohs, about the width of a pencil, he also seems to need to go several times in 24hrs, far more than our other two dogs to the point he has often messed overnight. He seems fine in himself, don't think its worth the vet but has anyone else had anything similar, he is almost 11 yrs old now and is feed twice a day.

Poor little guy. TAKE HIIM TO THE VET! If such a big change in bowel habits has gone on for this long something is not right. Particularly if he is going so much more, and also cannot wait overnight. Could be a tumour, anything but get the poor little thing checked out from a professional VET. At 11 years old you owe him that.
