What do people think? Being that he's not quite 2 do those of you who have had youngsters think he'll get much heavier? He seems to be leggy so my thoughts are he'd not get too hefty and he doesn't have a lot of feather (I am looking for something with the idea to do a bit of everything really - BSJA/XC competitive wise mainly).

I am not sure about his neck though he seems a bit thick in the throat?

I also fancy this - if only to give it a good feed!!!! Poor thing

First one looks OK, could just be a bad angle with regards to the thick neck, but something to think about. The second one I'm really not sure!! "Halter broken" at 6 yrs old! I would like to think its a bit more than halter broken at that age!! Looks very bad condition. I personally wouldn't view.

If you're looking for something quality - why not contact MFH_09 on here. She was selling two lovely youngsters.

I wasn't really serious about the 2nd - just feel sorry for it!

I am sort of browsing youngsters as regrettably my horse is getting no younger so am seeing what's out there - with the youngsters though I am trying to see past the long hair and scruffiness and think how would it look in say 3 to 4 years time. I like my coloureds/duns but don't want too much white really and the WB x caught my eye I just thought he looked quite thick in his neck/throat but I also thought when he matured he could be a nice, powerful horse.

Amymay - I am looking at a budget of under £2k so not sure what 'quality' as such i would buy with that. However I am not bothered about breeding, I sort of know what I like and temperament is very important. I think I probably am restricting myself as really only looking at duns and coloureds although occasionally I have seen some solid coloureds that look ok. Ideally I just want to clone my current horse.....! Lol

Sadly mares are off my list - can only have geldings and greys are a no no - far too mcuh cleaning (that is why dun is the preferred colour - they hide the mud! Lol). Thanks anyway. I know now I am sort of properly looking i won't find a thing - saw plenty of nice ones last year! Grrr

My 5yr old is WB x Cob according to his passport- although his head SCREAMS irish draft  :D Anyhow he haws bulked up stacks recently (warmbloods are slow to develop) and I think he will be too heavy to be a serious competition horse... please see sig...

.

But you never know until you ask. Drop her a pm.

Indeed.
She is selling a seriously top quality broodmare (scored highest marks in the uk I believe) and she is asking less for her than some awful cut and shuts I have seen on horsemart.
You should PM her. If I were in the market for a youngster, its where I would be heading!
