Gyp my normally nutty cob, who wouldn't stand to be mounted, in fact wouldn't stand full stop, would spook at random things like birds, twigs, hedges etc, would jog home, and if you tried to stop him would throw tantrums and be 10 times worse. In fact he was generally a right pain in the back side.
Has I suppose for the last couple of months at least, stood quietly to mount, do girth, wait while mum opens the gates etc. Will stand for about 10 secs in a lay by for a car to pass, any longer and we fidget a bit. Has only properly spooked at one thing, today when a branch fell next to us, so I really don't blame him for that at all. And will walk home on a loose rein and often stops in gateways to look across the fields for a few moments, even in today's gales.
Hattie my normally quiet plod, who's favourite pace is halt, has been walking off as so as I get on, jogging, spooking. She has been whipping round and taking off at random things. Generally being a complete cow.
So own up who has swapped them round?
