Old body protector?

What do I do with my old body protector? Can I just chuck it in the bin?

its 2009 so standard is still in date, I just hate the style and find it incredibly uncomfortable, it’s 5 years old now too.

i don’t want to just chuck it for someone to then think they’ve found a freebie

I either ebay it or I give stuff like that to a friend who runs a riding centre . She takes on a lot of trainees from under privileged /difficult backgrounds and they can struggle to finance decent kit . They really appreciate things like BP's , boots , jodhs etc . Much more satisfying than just throwing it away !

I did consider giving it to my friend who has just started it but wasn’t sure just in case its damaged that I can’t see
