I wonder if anyone has had any experiences with Old Dairy Saddlery recently?

I've used them in the past and had no problems however I ordered a bit on 17th August, received an email confirmation but no bit has arrived. I tried to phone them several times last week and this week but when I press the option to speak to someone in customer service I get put on hold with music playing then sometimes get told I'm first in the queue then get a recorded message saying the person on that extension is unavailable please leave a message - which I have done twice but still no call back, email or bit!

I actually ordered the bit elsewhere and it arrived a couple of days later so would be happy to cancel this order or receive the bit but neither seems an option just now :(

Very strange. They closed the shop and moved from the West Country to the ar*e of Kent where they are doing online only. Two directors and company still active. Had a warehouse sale in June that was cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances'.

No idea - sorry.

The Directors are Bruno and Dominique Goyens de Heusch at Little Park Cottages, Breach Lane, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, SN4 7QW

They have another company (Flying Changes) at the same address with a different telephone number 01392 340 353. Worth a call?

I believe they share directors with Westagate EFI and also are based in the same place so it may be worth calling them too.

UPDATE - I called this number and spoke to a guy who explained they had bought the business two days ago and he would look into my order with the old owners. Shortly after a girl called and said she was having some difficulty as the old owners could see they had taken payment but as the old website and computer system has been shut down they couldn't see what I had actually ordered. She's now going to look for a bit and send me photo's to check it's the right thing before sending it out to me. Excellent service from them so hopefully they will get the business back on track :)

I wonder if that is Whychanger? Old Dairy used to sell a lot of Mark Todd stuff as do Whychanger. Used to love Old Dairy when they had the shop. Weren't they also Jumpers Online?

Edited to add - just looked at the new website and their sister company is indeed Whychanger. Never had a problem with them.

It's 10 days on from your last post EM - did you receive your order ok?

Yep they were also JO, all part of Westgate FEI (who also own the MT range). Not sure how Flying Changes fit in as they are based up at the original "Old Dairy" home - all very complicated

I've not received the bit yet but have had a couple of emails and phone calls as they are trying to source one for me, it's for a pony so I want small bit rings which seems to be the issue. However I'm happy with their communication so far and they do genuinely be trying to help. Fingers crossed the bit follows soon.

Fairy sure I had an email the other day saying they've been taken over. Probably find your order was lost in the changeover.
