Have purchased a builder's mixing tub to use as a trough for the old boy. It's like a small bath, and hopefully, he can't tip it over and waste the food. Spent fifteen minutes trying to coax him into his stable with it, and another ten minutes convincing him that there was actually food in it and it wasn't a trick to catch him unawares. Cannot believe how set in his ways he is. Once the snorting and spooking had settled down he consented to investigate, but he was still grabbing mouthfuls of mash and standing a fair distance away in case the crocodile was lurking behind it. Probably took over half an hour before he settled to eat from it. Poor lad, didn't intend to freak him out!
