Well I braved it and went along but didnt take Emma as was worried about the weather (heat). As it was i could have taken her but probably would have looked a bit amateur!
Emma would have easily held her own in the puppy class IMO.
But what an eye opener! Mastiffs dont really like showing lol! No wonder they never win Crufts LOL! There was a lot of dragging of handlers going on and oh do i really have to go there...I want to go over there...! At least Emma doesnt do that...yet!
And they really were all shapes and sizes (although apart from a puppy they were generally larger than the average labrador LOL)
There were one or two dogs which i felt were unheathily heavy. My vet would kill me if i let mine get that big!
I met up with her breeders and was told off for not being tough enough with Emma

I did tell them I was going down to Wales and had considered leaving her on their doorstep and doing a runner LOL!
Anyway I think I will have a go at the next club show. I just have to learn to stand her up and get the right lead so if anyone can help i would appreciate it. They were all shown with a leather lead attached directly to a chain which acted as a choke but was not separate if you get what I mean. At the moment I have a training lead and a chole chain which works well but obviously not the done thing in the Mastiff showring!
We took some photos and will post them sometime soon.
I have to say it was lovely to see so many gawjus faces in one day!
