Old Leyland Daf 45 (K) oil dipstick??!?

I feel very silly asking this question but I cannot for the life of me find the oil dipstick on my old (new to me) K reg Daf 45!!! It doesn't appear to be in any of the obvious places (was in a side locker on my Iveco).

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very, very grateful :)
 
Flywheel end of the engine, on the same side as the exhaust manifold? Does depend on what engine you have in it though.
 
Thank you so much for your reply. I'm pleased to report that I have found the dipstick!!!! It was in the side locker behind passenger seat after all, I just needed a torch to locate it! And it was like trying to thread a needle blindfolded trying to get the silly thing back in! But all done now and plenty of oil in there too :)
