I ordered & paid a pair of Ariat gloves from them on 3/3/14. After 2 days they tell me that they haven't got them in that size & will order them & they'll be in in 10 days. I say ok, I am then contacted saying that ariat don't make them in the colour that they advertised & I ordered & did I want a different colour. I say I'll have a pair of blacK.

These are for a birthday present for someone & Old Mill knew this. I wait for them to contact me saying they'd been sent as birthday is looming & I need them. I emailed them 4 days ago about the gloves but get no reply. I emailed again last night saying that they've not replied & they email me today to be told the gloves won't be delivered until May??? They didn't bother telling me. They've had my money for over 2 weeks & can't be bothered to update me about the order. I've asked for a reund but that still doesn't sort out the fact that I've no present for the birthday which is 2 days away.

THANK YOU FOR NOTHING OLD MILL SADDLERY!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, they're still advertising the gloves on their website & they haven't got them in stock & won't have them until May at least!!

Oh no, not another one! First it was Derby house, then I had some awful experience with Equestrian clearance where they let me down with ALL my Christmas presents I ordered for my liveries and did not bother to tell me they were not in stock TWICE. Now Old Mill saddlery.

By the way, Derby house are back to their absolute best. I have ordered from them four times recently and all orders came within 48 hours. I had never had problems with Equestrian clearance until recently either.
 
Very very unlike Old Mill and certainly out of character. When I needed something urgent that they were waiting on they actually contacted supplier to find out where else had it in stock for me. I would email FAO Robert. He is the owner and I would be very surprised if he doesn't do something to get you sorted
 
Oh no, agree - not like Old Mill, I've never had anything but great service from them including very recently

Can they not send you something else suitable? I was in the shop the other day and they have many many pairs of gloves!!!
 
I'm another one who has used Old Mill Saddlery many times and they have always been great, couldn't fault them in any way.

I specifically wanted the Ariat Tek gloves apart from still advertising them for sale in size they haven't got they were less than honest in the delivery time. Addionally I shouldn't have to chase them for my order after a fortnight, they should contact me if there are difficulties.

They may have had a good reputation but this incident does nothing to help them. I won't be using them again. They also offered an immediate refund over 2 hours ago.........still waiting for that as well.....hopeless!!!!!!

I've gone elsewhere for the gloves now.

To be truthful I have used Old Mill many times and normally don't have any problems- although my boyfriend has had trouble with them a couple of times (when ordering presents for me, haha!). They are local to me so have normally driven over to sort issues out - however I second what one poster has said and write your email FAO Robert, he is a nice guy and I am sure he will do his best to sort it out.

I wouldn't write them off just yet - though I understand how frustrating it can be!
 
well maybe they did give you an immediate refund their end but it is possible that the processing itself takes a little while.

Sorry you've had problems but it really isn't the end of the world lol
 
they're usually very helpful when stuff isn't in stock - I've had stuff on back order and they've let me know if it's going to be longer and let me exchange/refund without any questions.

Hopefully it's just a one off.
 
Old Mill is not a stock controlled website, I have attempted twice and the orders were taken no further because the items were'nt in stock. What I love about rideaway is that you know exactly how many are in stock and in what colours and sizes.
